Accessing bus route information for your child

The Busplanner Parent portal allows families to check their child’s bus information online, including bus route, bus stop times, and bus stop location. To create your Parent Portal Account you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Go to nlschools.mybusplanner.ca and click on the “Parent Portal” icon and then “Create A New Account”.

2. Use your email address and create a password.

3. Check your email and confirm your account before you log back in. If the email address used to create the account does not match the email address listed for your student(s) in the Parent/Guardian contact information in PowerSchool, the student(s) will not be automatically added to your parent portal account.

4. Please contact your student’s school to confirm your email address in PowerSchool if your student(s) are not automatically added to your parent portal account

Trouble logging in?

If your student(s) are not connected to your account, please contact our main office at 709-786-9056 to confirm the email address listed for your student(s) in the Parent/Guardian contact information in PowerSchool. 24 hours after updating this information in PowerSchool check your parent portal account again for connected student(s).

Route changes for 2025/2026

As part of our annual review, there may be changes to some bus stop locations for the 2025-2026 school year. This is to ensure that the service is simplified/improved for families by having the same locations used for schools at all grade levels. As a result, some students may see a change in their bus stop location.

Transportation information for the 2025-2026 school year will be available in your BusPlanner Web Parent Portalaccount in mid-August 2025. We encourage all families to set up a parent portal account if you have not done so already.
